The face of your kitchen is your countertop. It portrays how the rest of your kitchen is going to be. A messy countertop can mean that there is no place left to keep anything in the cabinets!
If you wish to give a designer look to your kitchen, molded kitchen drawers and the latest appliances are not enough. Reduce the number of items on your countertop and keep only those small appliances that you actually use everyday. All the others can be safely kept in the cupboards and brought out as need arises.

I agree, I always make sure there is nothing on my counter, well except for the coffee maker and cannisters I have out.

Thanks for the tips. One of my biggest problems is being able to keep the kitchen clean. With four kids, it’s like a never-ending odyssey.
