The latest trend in various homes is to put up floral wallpapers in the living room to give an effect of a valley of flowers. It looks really good and I have done the same for my living room too.
If your kid is a preschooler, there are chances that he might try out his art skills on the walls. To avoid this, simply leave a blank wall and paste drawing paper on the same in his room. Teach him that he can draw on the walls ONLY in his room on this wall.
